The East West Guitar Duo
Canadian guitarists Patrick Feely and Brad Mahon met through their mutual association as examiners with the Royal Conservatory of Music in 2008. Recent performances have included the “Friends of Guitar” Festival in Brantford, Ontario. The 2010-2011 season will see the duo performing in Alberta and Ontario. Their forthcoming CD will include works by Brouwer, Machado, Mozart, L’Hoyer, Falla, and Vivaldi. Patrick Feely is a member of the Faculty of the Arts at McMaster University and of the College of Examiners with the Royal Conservatory of Music. He holds an A.R.C.T. in Performance, and a Masters of Music Degree in Performance from the University of Toronto. This season Patrick will be in recital at Convocation Hall at McMaster University as part of the “Visiting Artists Lunch Time Series,” as a featured performer with the “Friends of Guitar” concert series in Brantford, and at the Sauble Beach Festival of the Classical Guitar. Brad Mahon has been a member of the music faculty at Mount Royal University since 1997 where he instructs classical guitar, coaches chamber music, and administrates the Guitar Academy and String Program. A sought after teacher, he is also an instructor with Ambrose University and an examiner with the Royal Conservatory of Music.

Murray Visscher
Murray Visscher has performed a wide variety of music for audiences in Canada and the United States. Murray holds degrees from Western Washington University and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He is in demand as a performer and educator, and is currently on the faculty of Mount Royal University Conservatory in Calgary Alberta. “The Early Romantic Guitar” , recorded in June of this year, is a tribute to the rich guitar repertoire of the early 19th century. The album features works by Carcassi, Fossa, Giuliani and Sor, all performed on a replica of an instrument from the 1830’s.
