Rhythm Trainer #10

The Rhythm Trainer for guitarists is from my publication “Guitar Victoria – Studio Series Vol. 2″.

EXERCISE #10

The upper system gives the rhythm on open-strings. The lower system is intended for use after the upper system has been confidently mastered. Do not play the two staves as a duet.

The difference in this exercise is the 6/8 time signature. Be sure to feel the extra weight of the pulse on beat one and four. Remember that the 6/8 feels like duple time, that is, the pulse of two. Strong – Weak – Weak – Medium Strong – Weak – Weak.
