Found: Hamilton Guitar Society

I was doing my usual scanning of the web for Canadian guitar activity and came across something I didn’t know about: The Hamilton Guitar Society (www.guitarhamilton.com).

From the Hamilton Site:

Guitar Hamilton is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the classical guitar in the Hamilton area through concerts, workshops and community outreach activities.  This inaugural concert season features a remarkable roster of local and international artists.  We welcome them to Hamilton’s creative community.

It is a great pleasure to bring the compelling beauty and rich versatility of the classical guitar to the stage in Hamilton.  Join us in making this new initiative a resounding success!

Emma Rush,
Artistic Director

Looks like the 2010 activity has been:

  • Johannes Moller…..Sunday, February 21, 2010
  • Amadeus Duo…..Monday, March 22, 2010
  • Spring Gala Concert: Featuring Danielle Cumming, Emma Rush and the Henderson-Dolk Duo…..Sunday April 25th, 2010

I am happy to hear about the Hamilton Guitar Society. My daughter lives there so therefore I will be taken in some of their upcoming concerts. I wonder if Jeff has any involvement in this society?
